Interesting video, similar concept to vibroblades, but I bet he got it from those goofy electric carving knives (for turkey etc).
And as of right now im about 350 miles from my garage and will be for about another month. But I still think it would be doable, with a gun to my head a single day, otherwise within a week at a leisurely pace and excepting any unintended amputations of digits or appendages, definitely doable.
If I was actually going to make some sort of hyper effective close combat implement I certainly wouldn't make it something that ridiculously complex though. I'd probably take a cue from stunguns and rig up a sword to deliver a devastating electrical charge.
